Shopify Migration

When the website builder becomes the ceiling

Squarespace is great for launching. It starts to pinch when you need variant-heavy catalogs, subscriptions, B2B pricing, multiple currencies or integrations with the tools your operations run on. Shopify is built for that growth stage.

I move products, pages, blog posts and every URL, and rebuild the design so the brand feel you liked survives the move. For new features on the Shopify side, see hire a Shopify developer or Shopify subscriptions.

What you get

From Squarespace to a store built to grow

  • Product & inventory move — products, variants, images and stock levels moved and cleaned up along the way.
  • Pages & blog — content pages and blog posts rebuilt in Shopify templates with formatting and images preserved.
  • Design carry-over — your current look rebuilt in a fast Shopify theme, so returning customers recognise you.
  • URL redirects — Squarespace URLs mapped to their Shopify equivalents so search engines and old links still land.
  • Growth features — subscriptions, bundles, reviews, email and wholesale set up as needed, not bolted on later.
  • Domain & email cutover — DNS moved in a planned window with email records kept intact, so nothing goes dark.
How it works

From first call to launch

  1. Migration audit

A free call and a read-only audit of your current store: catalog, customers, orders, URLs, apps and integrations.

  2. Mapping & redirect plan

Every product, collection, page and URL mapped, with a 301 plan that keeps your rankings intact.

  3. Staging rehearsal

The full migration runs on a staging store first, checked line by line before anything goes live.

  4. Cutover & 30-day watch

A planned cutover window, then 30 days of monitoring rankings, orders and tracking so nothing slips.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Will my site look the same?
It can. I rebuild your current design in Shopify, or use the move to refresh it. Either way you approve the look on staging first.
How long does it take?
Most Squarespace stores move in 2-4 weeks, depending on the number of products and pages.
Can I keep my domain?
Yes. Your domain points to Shopify at cutover, and your email records are left untouched.
How much does it cost?
Project work is fixed-price against a defined scope, so you know the full cost before we start. The discovery call is always free.
How fast can you start?
Discovery calls happen within days; kickoff is usually 1-2 weeks out. If you have a hard launch date, say so on the first call and I will tell you plainly if it is achievable.
