Six steps from brief to handover

What the SaaS developer must deliver, by when, and what done looks like. Include links to sites or tools you like.
- Shortlist three to five people
From referrals, marketplaces or portfolios. Ask how they would structure tenants and billing on day one; these are expensive to change later.
- Run a small paid test
Sketch the data model for accounts, users, roles and plans. A half-day task like this shows quality and communication.
- Agree scope and milestones
Fixed price per milestone, with acceptance criteria you can check.
- Handover and ownership
Get the code, accounts, docs and a walkthrough before the final payment.
