Hire Product Designer — from user research to shipped interface
Product design is not screens — it is decisions: what the user is trying to do, where they get stuck, what the simplest path through looks like, and only then what it looks like. A product designer runs the whole arc: research that finds the real problem, flows that simplify it, interfaces designed against your system, prototypes tested with users, and handoff that engineers can build without guesswork.
I'm Omer Muneer Qazi, a Dubai-based Fractional CTO & Solutions Architect with 15+ years of experience and 100+ projects delivered across 6 countries. Product design through me is engineering-aware from day one — I know what is cheap to build and what is not, so designs survive contact with your roadmap. For Figma execution at the highest level, you can hire a Figma designer on the same engagement.
Design that starts from the user and ends in production
UX research & discovery
User interviews, usability tests, and analytics reviews that find the real problem — so design solves what matters instead of polishing what does not.
Information architecture
Navigation, structure, and content organization designed around user mental models — the invisible layer that determines whether anything is findable.
User flows & wireframes
End-to-end flows mapped and wireframed before visual design — edge cases, error paths, and empty states included, not discovered in QA.
High-fidelity UI
Interfaces designed against your design system — or a new one built properly — with the craft that makes software feel trustworthy.
Prototyping & testing
Interactive prototypes tested with real users, iterated before engineering — the cheapest place to be wrong is in a prototype.
Handoff & design QA
Developer-ready specs, assets, and annotations — plus QA during the build so the shipped product matches the design.
From discovery to shipped product
A structured engagement with no surprises — you’ll always know what’s happening and what’s next.
Discovery
Research, stakeholder interviews, and analytics review — defining the problem in user terms before any screen exists.
Flows & wireframes
The experience architected as flows and low-fi wireframes, validated early with users and engineers.
UI & prototype
High-fidelity design and interactive prototypes, tested and iterated until the experience works.
Handoff & QA
Engineering handoff with specs and assets, then design QA through the build to protect the details that matter.
Why hire a product designer through a Fractional CTO
I have spent fifteen years on the engineering side of the design handoff — I know exactly where designs die in implementation and I make sure it does not happen. Research is honest, flows are buildable, and QA protects the outcome through launch.
You get design that is accountable to shipped reality, not just to a portfolio. To design your product properly from research to release, contact me.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need research or can you just design?
It depends on risk. Redesigning a known flow can start from analytics; building something new without talking to users is how expensive mistakes happen. I will tell you honestly which you need.
How do you work with our engineers?
As a partner from the flows stage — technical constraints surface early, handoff is spec’d properly, and design QA runs through the build.
Can you work within our existing design system?
Yes — extending systems is standard. Where the system is the problem, I will show you and scope the fix separately.
What does the handoff include?
Specs, assets at correct densities, interaction notes, and a walkthrough — everything engineering needs to build without reverse-engineering intent from pixels.
How long does a typical engagement run?
A focused feature (research to handoff) typically runs four to eight weeks; full product design engagements are scoped by roadmap after discovery.
