Technical Due Diligence Consultant for Hire — know what you're buying
Every investor has a story about the “solid tech team” that turned out to be one contractor and a prayer. Technical due diligence exists to replace pitch-deck confidence with engineering reality: is the architecture scalable, is the code maintainable, can the team actually deliver — and what's the real cost of the technical debt nobody mentioned?
I'm Omer Muneer Qazi, a Fractional CTO & Solutions Architect with 15+ years building and leading engineering across 100+ projects in 6 countries. I conduct independent technical due diligence for investors and acquirers: thorough, discreet, and written for decision-makers, not engineers. Start a confidential conversation or see other services.
Diligence that protects capital
Codebase quality assessment
I read the actual code: architecture, test coverage, documentation, and the patterns that reveal whether this was built to last or built to demo. Findings graded by remediation cost.
Scalability & architecture review
Can the system handle 10x growth? I evaluate data models, infrastructure, and bottlenecks — separating genuine scale readiness from “we'll rewrite it later”.
Security posture evaluation
Access controls, secrets management, dependency hygiene, and data handling: the issues that become your liability the day the deal closes.
Team capability interviews
Confidential conversations with the engineering team assessing depth, key-person risk, and whether the org can execute the post-deal roadmap. I read teams, not just code.
Technical debt quantification
Debt translated into money and time: what must be fixed, what it costs, and how it affects valuation. Vague “some tech debt” becomes a line item you can negotiate.
Written diligence report
A decision-grade report for partners: executive summary with a clear verdict, detailed findings, risk ratings, and the questions to ask management before you wire funds.
Rigorous, fast, confidential
A structured engagement with no surprises — you’ll always know what’s happening and what’s next.
Confidential scoping
We define the deal context, timeline, and access under NDA. I confirm I have no conflicts with the target — independence is the whole point.
Deep investigation
Code access, architecture walkthroughs, infrastructure review, and team interviews — typically 2–4 weeks depending on scope and access quality.
Findings review
I walk you through preliminary findings before the report, so there are no surprises and you can direct deeper investigation where it matters.
Diligence report
The written report: verdict, risks, costs, and negotiation leverage — delivered in time for your investment committee, every time.
Why investors trust Omer's diligence
Diligence is only as good as the diligence provider's own engineering depth. With 15+ years, 100+ delivered projects, and $25M+ in enabled client revenue across 6 countries — plus leadership at Phaedra Solutions and builds with Integriti, Napollo, Nabidios, Nello, and EverestX — I've built the systems I'm now asked to evaluate, across SaaS, ecommerce, and AI.
Independent, discreet, and decisive. Discuss your deal confidentially.
Frequently asked questions
How long does technical due diligence take?
Typically 2–4 weeks from full access to report. Tight deal timelines can compress to 10 days for focused scopes. I commit to your investment committee date upfront — and hit it.
What access do you need from the target company?
Ideally: repository access, architecture walkthrough with their tech lead, infrastructure overview, and 1:1s with key engineers. I advise on the access request list so nothing critical is missed.
Will the target's team know we're doing diligence?
Usually yes — cooperative diligence gets better access and better answers. I'm professional and discreet in every interaction; engineers generally respect a reviewer who clearly knows the craft.
Can you quantify technical debt for valuation?
Yes — that's a core output. I estimate remediation in engineering-months and cost, distinguish fatal flaws from manageable debt, and give you concrete negotiation material.
Do you also do post-acquisition integration planning?
Yes. The diligence report includes a 100-day technical plan option: what to fix first, who to keep, and how to merge systems — so day one after close isn't day one of confusion.
