Hire Terraform Expert — infrastructure you can rebuild on demand
Click-ops does not scale: the staging environment nobody can reproduce, the production change nobody remembers making, the disaster recovery plan that is really a hope. Terraform turns infrastructure into versioned, reviewable code — but only with module discipline, safe state handling, and workflows teams actually follow.
I'm Omer Muneer Qazi, a Dubai-based Fractional CTO & Solutions Architect with 15+ years of experience and 100+ projects delivered across 6 countries. I build Terraform foundations — modules, state, pipelines — that let small teams run serious cloud infrastructure without a platform department.
Cloud infrastructure as real code
Modular Terraform design
Reusable modules for networking, compute, data, and DNS — composed per environment, so staging genuinely mirrors production instead of approximately resembling it.
Remote state done safely
State in remote backends with locking, encryption, and per-environment isolation — no more corrupted state files or two engineers applying at once.
Environment parity
Dev, staging, and production from the same modules with variable-driven differences, so the bug you fixed in staging stays fixed in production.
Plan/apply pipelines
Terraform plans run automatically on pull requests with policy checks; applies are gated and audited — infrastructure changes get the same rigor as code changes.
Import of existing infra
Click-built resources imported into Terraform state methodically, so your current cloud estate becomes managed code without rebuilds or downtime.
Cost-aware architecture
Right-sized resources, lifecycle policies, and tagging for cost allocation — IaC makes waste visible, and we act on what we see.
From click-ops to coded infrastructure
A structured engagement with no surprises — you’ll always know what’s happening and what’s next.
Estate audit
Existing cloud resources are inventoried and mapped to Terraform modules.
Foundation build
State backends, modules, and pipelines are created with your core networking and services.
Import and migrate
Existing resources are imported safely, environment by environment, with zero-downtime verification.
Team enablement
Your team learns the plan/apply workflow, module conventions, and emergency procedures.
Why hire a Terraform expert through a Fractional CTO
Terraform is easy to write and hard to operate — state corruption and module sprawl kill more IaC efforts than any technical limitation. I build the foundations that survive real teams and real incidents.
The result is infrastructure your team changes with pull requests instead of prayers. If your cloud estate only exists in someone's memory, get in touch.
Frequently asked questions
Terraform vs OpenTofu vs Pulumi — what should we use?
Terraform remains the ecosystem standard; OpenTofu is its open fork worth considering for new projects; Pulumi suits teams that prefer general-purpose languages. I work with all three and recommend based on your team's skills.
Can you import our existing AWS infrastructure?
Yes — resources are imported into state in dependency order, verified against live config, and then managed going forward. No rebuilds, no downtime.
How do you prevent two people applying at once?
Remote state with native locking, plus pipeline-gated applies — humans propose via pull request, automation applies. The foot-gun is structurally removed.
What about secrets in Terraform?
Secrets live in a proper manager — never in state files or repos. Terraform references them; state is encrypted and access-controlled regardless.
How long does a Terraform foundation take?
Two to four weeks for core modules, state, and pipelines on a typical startup estate; larger multi-account setups run longer and are scoped in phases.
