Hire Technology Advisor for Business — a technologist in your corner
Every significant business decision now has a technology dimension: the ERP implementation, the ecommerce replatform, the AI initiative the board keeps asking about, the cybersecurity question nobody wants to own. A technology advisor gives leadership an independent expert to call before those decisions get expensive.
I'm Omer Muneer Qazi, a Fractional CTO & Solutions Architect with 15+ years advising businesses across 6 countries and 100+ delivered projects. I serve as an on-call technology advisor to owners, boards, and executives — translating technical complexity into business decisions. See engagement models or start the conversation.
Independent technology counsel
Strategic technology guidance
An independent voice on the technology decisions shaping your business: investments, direction, and timing — free from vendor agendas and internal politics.
Major purchase & project oversight
ERP rollouts, replatforms, system replacements: I evaluate proposals, challenge estimates, and monitor delivery so seven-figure projects don't become seven-figure lessons.
Vendor independence
Someone who doesn't sell software, reviewing the people who do. I level the playing field in every vendor negotiation and hold providers accountable to their promises.
Digital risk assessment
Cybersecurity posture, data practices, and operational resilience reviewed in business terms: what could hurt you, what it would cost, and what to fix first.
Board & executive briefings
Technology explained for decision-makers: quarterly briefings on your tech position, emerging risks, and opportunities — in language the whole board understands.
AI & emerging tech counsel
Sober guidance on AI, automation, and what's actually worth your attention versus what's vendor hype. I separate the 10% that's transformative from the 90% that's noise.
Advisory that fits executive schedules
A structured engagement with no surprises — you’ll always know what’s happening and what’s next.
Executive conversation
We discuss the business, the technology landscape around it, and where leadership feels least confident. Straight talk, no jargon.
Advisory scope
We define the relationship: retainer for on-call counsel, project-based oversight, or quarterly briefings — whatever matches how you make decisions.
Ongoing counsel
I'm available when technology questions arise: before the vendor meeting, during the project crisis, ahead of the board session.
Periodic reviews
Quarterly technology reviews keep leadership current: position, risks, opportunities, and recommended moves for the next quarter.
Why businesses hire Omer as technology advisor
Advisors need breadth: 15+ years across SaaS, ecommerce, and AI; 100+ projects enabling $25M+ in client revenue across 6 countries; leadership at Phaedra Solutions and product teams at Integriti, Napollo, Nabidios, Nello, and EverestX. I've been the builder, the buyer, and the reviewer — so my counsel accounts for all three perspectives.
Independent, plain-spoken, and on your side of the table. Review advisory options or book an executive conversation.
Frequently asked questions
We're not a tech company. Do we need a technology advisor?
If you spend significantly on technology, depend on systems you don't fully understand, or face board questions about AI and cyber risk — yes. Non-tech companies often need independent counsel most, because every vendor smells a non-technical buyer.
How is this different from our IT provider's advice?
Your IT provider sells you services; I don't. That independence changes the advice: I'll tell you when you need less technology, not more, and when a vendor's recommendation serves them better than you.
Can you help us evaluate a specific vendor proposal?
Yes — it's one of the highest-ROI uses of an advisor. I review the proposal technically and commercially, identify the gaps and risks, and often save multiples of my fee in the negotiation alone.
Do you attend board meetings?
When useful, yes. A technology voice in the room changes how boards discuss digital risk and investment — and I brief in plain language, not engineering jargon.
What does technology advisory cost?
Typically a monthly retainer for on-call access plus periodic reviews, or project fees for specific evaluations. Either way, scoped in writing before we begin.
