Can you still customize checkout on Shopify Plus?
Yes — through checkout extensibility: UI extensions, Functions, branding APIs, and pixels. The old checkout.liquid is deprecated, but the new model is more capable for legitimate customizations.
What cannot be customized in checkout?
The core payment and order-processing flow stays Shopify’s — which is good for conversion and fraud. I will tell you plainly if a request crosses into unsupported territory, with the closest supported alternative.
Do checkout customizations hurt conversion?
Bad ones do — clutter, slow scripts, confusing fields. Mine are performance-budgeted, A/B-testable, and minimal by philosophy.
Can you migrate our old checkout.liquid customizations?
