Custom app or existing app — how do we decide?

If an existing app covers 90% of the need reliably, buy it. Build when the workflow is proprietary, the subscription math favors building within a year, or reliability is business-critical. I give you that math on the discovery call.

How long does a custom app take?

Private integrations typically 3–6 weeks; public app-store apps 8–16 weeks including review cycles. Fixed scope and timeline before we start.

Will our custom app survive Shopify API updates?

Yes — I build on versioned APIs with deprecation monitoring, so platform upgrades are planned maintenance, not emergencies.

Can you take over our existing custom app?

Common engagement. I audit the codebase, secure what is fragile, document what exists, then stabilize or rebuild based on what the audit says is most economical.

Do you handle app-store submission?

For public apps, yes — review requirements are designed in from the start, and I manage the submission and review feedback rounds.
