Hire Azure Expert — Azure architecture that survives audits and scale
Azure is the natural cloud when your world is Microsoft 365, Entra ID, .NET, or compliance-heavy industries — but early design mistakes are expensive to unwind: flat virtual networks, no private endpoints, secrets scattered across app settings, subscription sprawl nobody can bill back. An Azure expert sets up the landing zone once, with hub-spoke networking, policy-as-code guardrails, and AKS or App Service sized for your actual workload instead of the default over-provisioned guess.
I'm Omer Muneer Qazi, a Dubai-based Fractional CTO & Solutions Architect with 15+ years of experience and 100+ projects delivered across 6 countries. Choosing between the big three? I also help teams weigh Azure against Google Cloud expertise before committing to a platform.
An Azure foundation built once, built right
Landing zone setup
Management groups, subscription topology, hub-spoke virtual networks, and Azure Policy guardrails — so every new workload lands in a compliant, billable structure from day one instead of whatever the last engineer felt like.
AKS & App Service engineering
Kubernetes clusters or PaaS workloads configured properly: right-sized node pools, cluster autoscaling, ingress, and secrets pulled from Key Vault instead of baked into configs.
Entra ID identity
Single sign-on, managed identities, and conditional access policies across apps and APIs — replacing the classic failure mode of service principals with year-long secrets nobody rotates.
Bicep infrastructure as code
Modular Bicep for every resource, with what-if reviews before every apply and drift detection afterward — so your cloud is a codebase your team can reason about, not a portal people click through.
Hybrid & migration execution
ExpressRoute or VPN connectivity, Azure Migrate assessments, and phased workload cutover with tested rollback plans — because migrations fail on sequencing, not on technology.
Cost governance
Tagging strategy, budgets with alert thresholds, reservation and savings-plan analysis, and a rightsizing cadence — producing FinOps reports your CFO can actually read and act on.
From cloud assessment to governed platform
A structured engagement with no surprises — you’ll always know what’s happening and what’s next.
Assessment
We map your current estate, workload requirements, and compliance needs to a target subscription and network design — including an honest verdict on whether Azure is even the right cloud for you.
Landing zone build
Identity, networking, and policy are built first as code — the boring foundation that makes everything after it fast and safe.
Workload migration
A pilot workload proves the pattern, then migrations run in waves with rollback plans rehearsed, not improvised.
Handover & runbooks
Your team gets documented runbooks, cost reviews, and training — so the platform is operable without depending on one expert forever.
Why hire an Azure expert through a Fractional CTO
Azure engagements fail on architecture, not effort: flat networks that cannot be segmented later, identity bolted on after the fact, and spend that grows 3x before anyone notices. I review the landing-zone design myself and hold it to enterprise standards while keeping the bill startup-sized.
I stay technical through the build — reviewing Bicep modules and network designs, not just timelines — so you get a platform your team can actually operate. To talk through your Azure plans, contact me with a one-paragraph brief.
Frequently asked questions
Azure vs AWS — which should we pick?
If you are Microsoft-heavy, in regulated industries, or need hybrid identity with Entra ID, Azure usually wins. For pure cloud-native startups with no Microsoft footprint, the decision comes down to specific services. We decide from your workloads, not brand loyalty.
How long does a landing zone take to build?
A proper landing zone — subscriptions, hub-spoke networking, identity, policy — takes two to four weeks as code. Workload migration timelines depend on how many applications and how tangled they are.
Do we need AKS or is App Service enough?
App Service covers most web workloads with far less operational overhead. AKS earns its complexity when you need multi-service orchestration, custom networking, or workload portability. We do not deploy Kubernetes for resume value.
Can you migrate us off AWS?
Yes — phased, workload by workload, with rollback plans tested before each cutover. The sequencing matters more than the tooling, and that is where the planning time goes.
How do you keep Azure costs under control?
Tagging enforced by policy, budget alerts, reserved instances and savings plans where commitment makes sense, plus a quarterly rightsizing cadence. Most teams we review are 30-40% overprovisioned on day one.
