Shopify profit calculator
Work out profit per order and margin from your own figures. Nothing is sent anywhere — the calculation runs in your browser, and every number below is one you enter yourself.
Result per order
Enter values above to calculate. Profit per order = selling price − product cost − shipping cost − Shopify fee − payment fee − ad cost. Margin = profit ÷ selling price. All figures come from your inputs only; no rate on this page is presented as a market fact.
What each input means
Selling price is what the customer pays. Product cost is what the goods cost you. Shipping cost is what you pay the courier after the customer's contribution. The two percentage fees are your own plan and provider percentages — check your Shopify plan and payment provider, because they vary. Ad cost per order is total ad spend divided by orders over the same period.
What the result means
Profit per order is what remains from one order after every cost entered. Margin expresses that profit as a share of the selling price. A low or negative result does not mean the business is unviable — it means the current combination of price, costs and ad spend does not leave room on one order, and one of those inputs has to change. Use your own figures, and treat the result as arithmetic on your inputs, not as advice.
